Where do the guests get their dresses or tuxes?
For male attire, please call Men’s Warehouse at 815-397-7949 to set up an appointment for your tux fitting. They are located at 6250 Mulford Village Dr in Rockford (between FedEx and Jersey Mike's). There business hours are: SUNDAY 12:00PM - 6:00PM
MONDAY 10:30AM - 9:00PM
TUESDAY 10:30AM - 9:00PM
WEDNESDAY 10:30AM - 8:30PM
THURSDAY 10:30AM - 9:00PM
FRIDAY 10:30AM - 9:00PM
SATURDAY 10:00AM - 8:00PM
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday fitting times are suggested, if you are able, because those days typically have shorter wait times! Let them know you are part of Heartland’s Night to Remember. Our Group Number is 7178398. (Please provide your own shoes.) Tuxes will be available for pick up through Thursday, April 27th.
For female attire, please attend the time slot you chose for your dress fitting. These fittings will be at Heartland Community Church. You can enter through the main entrance and there will be signs directing you. Once there, you will be able to browse our selection of dresses to find the one that best suits you! Then our team of seamstresses will make sure it fits you perfectly! If it fits already, you are welcome to take it home with you. If it needs some alterations, our team will make those and we will contact you when it is ready to be picked up from Heartland.
Should the guests come dressed in their tuxedo or dress?
Yes, please come already dressed for the occasion. Once guests arrive, they will then receive their make-up, hair styling, etc.
Are shoes provided?
We request that you wear your own shoes. If that inhibits you from attending, please contact us.
What is provided for dinner?
Dinner will be a roll, grilled chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, and a cupcake. Drinks include water and lemonade. *Dinner is provided for our honored guests. If you plan on observing, please eat beforehand.
What do we need to bring with us to A Night to Remember?
You will need to complete this release form for each Guest you are registering. You can complete the form online for guests over 18 and minors HERE
If you need a paper version of the release form you can download it and turn it in the night of the event:
Adult Release Form (Guests over 18)
Minor Release Form (Guests under 18)
Will the guests attend A Night to Remember alone or be partnered with someone?
Each guest will be partnered with a host for Night to Remember. All hosts are students from Delta - our high school ministry at Heartland. Male guests are normally paired with male hosts; female guests are normally paired with female hosts. The Delta students love this event and do a great job of being hospitable hosts for our honored guests.
What time should the guests arrive?
Check in will run from 5:15-6:15 pm. We request that female guests begin to arrive at 5:15 pm so we can begin doing their hair and make-up (girls take a bit more time to get ready than guys do!) ☺ We request the male guests begin to arrive at 5:45 pm. Due to this, if you are bringing a male guest please be patient with us so that we can register and pair female guests first. Check In will close at 6:15 pm.
What time will A Night to Remember be over?
A Night to Remember ends at 8:15 pm. Parents are asked to pick up their children in the Atrium at that time. (The Atrium is the main open area after entering the Main Entrance of Heartland Community Church and is in front of the Main Office.)
Can parents, families, and/or para professionals attend the evening with the guests?
Due to the growth of A Night to Remember and the capacities of our facilities, each guest will be allowed two "VIP Passes." The two parents/family members who are wearing the passes will be allowed to enter some special areas: VIP Zone Paparazzi Area (where parents can be close to the action of the red carpet as their child walks down), VIP Zone (Again this year, we will have a space dedicated to parents to hang out with other parents, eat some light appetizers, and relax), and view the actual Dance in the Auditorium.
We welcome other family members, friends, teachers, and para-professionals to be a part of the evening by joining our “paparazzi” to cheer on our guests as they make their way down the red carpet.
We want to allow our guests and hosts to engage on their own at the tables during dinner and on the dance floor. Family members wearing the "VIP Pass," are welcome to observe, but we ask that family members help us to make the event all about the guests being served by their hospitable hosts. If a guest requires constant monitoring, please notify us ahead of the event and we'll do our best to make accommodations for you. We want the experience to be the best for everyone.
How many people typically attend A Night to Remember?
Last year we had over 500 honored guests and hosts attend A Night to Remember!
